Sweet Sweat UK & Europe
So, what National Day are we celebrating today? I know what you’re thinking, “Oh gosh, not another one…” Okay, but this is one is something I’m actually passionate about, so please keep reading. The American Hiking Society wanted to encourage friends and families to get outside, so “Take a Hike Day” was established for that reason.
There’s SO much beauty all around us, we can sometimes take it for granted. Some of us go days and even weeks without detoxing from technology, we often forget what it feels like to be unavailable and free. For me personally, it’s essential to connect with nature and humbling to be reminded how small I am in this enormous world. Also, you get to break a sweat in the most amazing atmosphere.
Lucky for us, finding trails and hikes is a lot easier than it used to be. Now we can just go on the internet or download an app to find multiple hikes around where you live, so you really have no excuse not to participate. Even if you despise anything that is associated with physical activity, taking a hike won’t kill you.
Here are some of my favorite hiking trails in California and I hope they inspire you to get outside more and realize how blessed we are to live in this beautiful world!
