What I’ve realized is that what I see every day on social media isn’t always telling the true story. I have fallen victim to the thoughts of not being good enough. My hair isn’t long enough, my eyebrows aren’t symmetrical enough, my skin isn’t clear enough. We all have probably felt this a few times in our lives. Sound familiar?
A few months ago, I went to visit a new hairdresser to get my hair done. I had two hair appointments cancel during quarantine and was forced to find someone new. After doing my research, I finally found someone who I thought would be a good fit. Unfortunately, I went to my appointment really excited and left my appointment in a fit of tears. Without getting into too much detail, just imagine someone walking out of a salon with a white, frizzy mess atop her head. That was me. After a few sleepless nights, I had a friend do what she could to fix the damage that had been done, but it was only the beginning of a longer journey.
I immediately started to gather a game plan for how I was going to nurse my hair back to health. When something like this happens, it is usually a long process to reverse the damage. I was so frustrated with myself for letting something like this happen. Throughout the days following the traumatic event, I wished so badly that I could just go back to what I had before. Isn’t that crazy? I spent a lot of time and money at the salon just to wish I could have my natural hair back. This lesson has shifted my perspective entirely. I have robotically been coloring my hair for many years, never taking a step back to think about my natural hair color. Until now.
After this salon situation from hell, I made a personal promise to begin embracing my natural beauty. I plan to end the bleach and grow my hair out so it will be its natural color. It’s time for me, and maybe you too, to learn that each of us were made to be unique from the inside out. One of the first steps I took towards meaningful change was to find ways to help my hair grow. Naturally. That’s when I found Biotin.
Biotin is an essential micronutrient involved in Keratin synthesis and after searching and searching I found that Sports Research Biotin had the highest ratings and reviews. I immediately placed an order and I’ve been taking it every day since. Not only is it formulated with Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, it’s been super easy to add it into my morning routine. My hair is already getting stronger, and it’s only going to get better with regular use! I am looking forward to continuing my journey of growing my hair out to its healthiest state with the help of Sports Research Biotin, and I hope I’ve inspired you too!
