Whey Protein Peppermint Hot Cocoa

There’s nothing like the comfort of hot cocoa, especially during the cold winter months. You can now upgrade this holiday favorite using SR® Whey Protein Isolate. Imagine leaving a chilly workout and coming home to a warm, chocolatey beverage with the added bonus of nutrition for recovery. There’s a strong possibility this will become your post-workout beverage all year long, and we promise we won’t judge😉.

2 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk

1 scoop Whey Protein Powder, chocolate

2 tbsp cacao powder

1 tsp honey or sweetener of choice

1 tsp peppermint extract

Topping options: Coconut whip cream, Candy canes, Crushed peppermint, Marshmallows

Toppings: Crushed Candy Cane, Sprinkles, White Chocolate Chips


In a sauce pan/pot, heat all ingredients on the stove whisking constantly until small bubbles appear at the edges of a pot. Remove from heat and be careful it does not come to a full boil. Pour into your favorite mug and add toppings of choice. Enjoy and Happy New Year!
